• Is the watermark audible? Will it affect my audio quality?

  The signature is inaudible. The web signer embeds it below the noise floor of the source; the plugin doesn't touch the waveform at all (it stores a fingerprint of your bounce server-side instead). In both cases the file you export sounds identical to one made without Mivia.

• Will it survive MP3 compression, mastering and EQ?

  Yes for the modifications a track usually picks up in distribution: lossy compression (MP3, AAC, Opus), format conversion across WAV, FLAC, AIFF, M4A, and reasonable mastering work like EQ and dynamics. Even a screen capture of someone playing the file is enough for the signature to come back on a scan. Heavy time-stretching, large pitch shifts and re-recording through a microphone in a noisy room are the cases where it can fail.

• Where does my audio go? Do you store the files?

  Mivia doesn't keep your audio. The web signer needs to upload your file briefly so the signature can be written, but it's deleted as soon as the signed version streams back to you. Only the resulting manifest (a small description of the signature) stays on our side. The plugin is even more conservative: it never sends the audio at all, just a fingerprint hash computed locally.

• Can I cancel anytime?

  Yes. Hit Manage on any Pro card here and Stripe's portal opens, one click cancels. Pro access stays until the end of your current billing period and then drops to Free. Anything you signed on Pro keeps working after that, forever.

• What happens to my signatures if I downgrade?

  They stay valid. Per-recipient variants you already made remain scannable, plugin bounces stay in your library, and anyone can still verify either of them. You just stop being able to create new signatures or run leak tracking until you're back on Pro.

• Do I need Pro to scan?

  No. Scanning is free for anyone at /scan, no account needed. Pro is about producing signatures, not reading them. That's the point: anyone who finds a file should be able to verify who made it, without a paywall in the way.

• Do I need an account to view a certificate?

  No. The certificate page for any signed track is public. If you have the Mivia ID, paste it at /database. If you have the audio file, drop it at /scan. Both open the same certificate, neither needs a Mivia account.

• I'm sharing with more than 10 recipients.

  Ten is the per-track ceiling on per-recipient variants for now. If you're a label or working at a larger scale, email us at [email protected] and we'll work something out.
